Hemodialysis Course
About This Course
is a life-sustaining treatment for kidney failure that uses a machine, called a dialyzer or "artificial kidney," to filter waste products, extra salt, and fluid from your blood when your own kidneys can't do the job effectively. During treatment, blood is drawn from the body, passed through the dialyzer where a special fluid cleans it, and then returned, helping to manage blood pressure and maintain mineral balance. It's typically done several times a week at a center or can be done at home, offering an active life despite failing kidney
